Captain Flubber is driven by a desperate desire for fame, recognition, and financial success. His once-thriving whale-watching tour business is failing, and he believes capturing the real tiny whale (Bob’s balloon creation) will bring him the fame and fortune he craves. His obsession blinds him to the harm he may cause, leading him to oppose Bob’s efforts to protect the whale and the environment.
Captain Flubber is hand carved by Kathy O’Connell from Basswood. She used a carving knife & chisels to bring Captain Flubber to life. He was then painted with watercolors. Kathy costumed him also. Captain Flubber is strung up to a marionette controller.
